We know we are a little outdated here and we apologize!  We are currently reviewing other web hosts and hope to be able to roll out our new PTO website this Fall!  In the mean time, we will be sending out updates in the Broadway Bulletin each Friday and posting events on our FB page.  Follow us @broadwayelementary.PTO

Spring 2022 Wrap Up

Parents,

What an amazing Spring Semester it has been!  It has been so wonderful to be back in the school and bring back so many amazing events to our students, parents and Broadway staff.    

A HUGE thank you to all you parents who have made our Spirit Nights so successful!  We were able to raise over $800!  These funds have been used to provide decorations for the 2nd Grade Program and for the Kindergarten Graduation . We appreciate our vendor partners for Spirit Nights: Pepperoni’s, Chick-fil-A, Crust, Chicken Salad Chick & Handel’s.    Thank you for your support!  

Our Father/Daughter “Flappers & Flappers” Dance was a HIT!  We waited two years for this dance and it was worth it!  We enjoyed seeing all the girls dressed up and being escorted by their someone special.  We know all the girls danced the night away and left with a smile on their faces!  Next year we will be bringing you a Mother/Daughter and a Father/Son combo.  Stay tuned next Fall for more information.

The Broadway “Backstage Bash” Spring Carnival was a HUGE success!  

Thank you to all our Broadway families for joining us April 23rd!  We had a packed house!  Our classroom raffle baskets were AMAZING!  Thank you to all the room parents for coordinating and collecting the items for these baskets.  Our Broadway families were very generous with their donations. The Auction both in-person and online were also very successful.  Congratulations to all the Raffle Basket & Auction Winners!

Almost 900 wristbands were sold and we raised over $41,000!  That was above and beyond what we were expecting!  With these funds, we were able to cover the cost of the Field Day shirts for all the students and Broadway Staff and provide extra goodies for the Staff for Teacher Appreciation Week.  We are also planning to help the school purchase 64 new wide screen monitors for the teachers, additional charging stations for Chromebooks and assist with the renewal of one of the online learning software packages, Pebble Go.

We have the BEST volunteers!  Thank you for every hour spent in the Workroom making countless copies, in the Library shelving books, helping students in Santa’s Secret Shop, making amazing decorations for the grade level Programs, working behind the scenes for the Carnival and braving the heat of Field Day!  Without the dedication of our incredible families, we would not be able to provide such a high level of support to all the teachers and programs.  THANK YOU!  

We have several events planned for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 so stay tuned!

Parents,

What an amazing Fall Semester it has been!  It has been so wonderful to be back in the school and bring back so many amazing events to our students, parents and Broadway staff.  With your help, our first ever Mother/Son BMX Night was a huge hit!!  I am sure that many little boys had BMX dreams that night!  We can not wait for the Father/Daughter Dance in February!    

A HUGE thank you to all you parents who have made our Spirit Nights so successful!  We were able to raise over $1700!  These funds have been used to provide decorations for the 3rd Grade Veteran’s Day Program, the 4th Grade Christmas Program, and goodies for the Broadway Staff during the 12 Days of Christmas. We appreciate our vendor partners for Spirit Nights: Pepperoni’s, Chipotle, Panda, Chick-fil-A, Republic Grill & Mod Pizza.    Thank you for your support!  

As you may recall, we had our Boosterhon Fun Run in October.  This was a tremendous success!  We blew our goal out of the water and raised $73,262 for Broadway!  We received donations from 47 States and 14 Countries!  That is AMAZING!  We have already ordered 4 more bike racks,  2 additional Chrome carts, and provided funds for the buses for the class field trips.  And we won’t stop there!  We have a few more items on our list to help improve our school.  

1st Grade was the top grossing grade level raising $28,246 and received a popcorn party.  

There were four classes that reached 100% registration for Boosterthon and they also participated in the popcorn party.  Thank you Mrs. Ackley, Applegate, Sherril & Montgomery’s classes!  

CONGRATS TO Ms. Silvas’s 3rd Grade class!!  They were the top grossing class at $5,199 and will receive a pizza party to wrap up the year. 

We were very excited to be able to bring back one of our favorite holiday traditions, Santa’s Secret Shop.  Our Shop was a big hit with the students.  So much so that we sold out of all items by Thursday morning!  Thank you for allowing your students to shop for their loved ones.  They showed so much excitement and couldn’t wait to show the volunteers what they picked for each person on their list.  

We have several events planned for the Spring.  The biggest of which is the Spring Carnival.  Mark your calendars for April 23rd!  Get ready to come out and have some fun!  There will be rides, raffles baskets & a chance to throw some pies at your favorite Admins & Specials Teachers.

2020-2021 Direct Donation Campaign

Dear Broadway Families,
We are excited to begin the 2020-2021 year! We have an amazing school and are extremely fortunate to have dedicated faculty, staff, and administration. Each year the PTO oversees many fundraising efforts in order to raise the money needed to support our annual expenses. Our largest fundraiser of the year is our Direct Donation Campaign and on September 23rd, we are kicking off our 6th year! Fundraising assists with expenses that include important resources such as technology improvements, recess and playground sports equipment, online learning memberships, leveled readers, staff appreciation, classroom grants, and SO much more!

Thanks to the generosity of previous parent donations last year, the PTO was able to give Broadway Elementary $54,000 to increase the supply of Chromebooks, iPads, various classroom technology, online learning and various other programs This year, the goal for our sixth annual Direct Donation Fundraising Campaign is $25,000! With your generous gifts, we are planning to once again increase our school technology to assist teachers in virtual learning, as well as provide continued funding for the many smaller projects within the school that we support every year.

No gift is ever too small to ensure that your child comes to school each day in the best environment possible. Online donations are encouraged and can be made on the PTO website at the start of the campaign as well as Venmo. Anyone can contribute in your child’s name – grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, or your place of business – and those donations will count towards their overall total for STAR incentives.

Your donation is 100% tax deductible, and a receipt will be provided for your tax purposes. Thank you for your continued support of the Broadway PTO!
